MILAN: THE EVENT
Early April, Nike invited a group of international journalists as
well as friends and family to Milan for the launch of Joga Bonito
- From Street to Stadium.
Following up on their succesful series of events in Berlin, Nike put together a new exhibition showcasing the fusion of art and design with athleticism and performance.
BOOKZINE: FROM STREET TO STADIUM
"Skill, Joy, Honor, Heart, Team. Characteristics of the beautiful
game played at its best." - this is the quintessence of the second
publication that sets out to show the cultural roots of the game of
football as it is played around the world, casually in the streets
or football fields and professionally in the stadiums.
PRODUCTS - DESIGN INNOVATION
In Milan, Nike introduced a series of products in the context of the
coming Football World Cup. As the key items, the National Team Kits
were designed using the latest in Nike's fabric technology - Sphere
Dry - and incorporate design-elements to reflect each nation's cultural
background and heritage. After the release of the Woven Air Footscape
HTM in Japan last year, this model will be introduced to the rest
of the world in this special team color series for the World Cup.
