Brazil This album by Caetano Veloso goes hand-in-hand with summer, like ice-creams, sorbets and granita. Fina Estampa Ao Vivo is a live recording of Veloso's covers of Mexican staples and some of his past hits, but would be worth getting for just one song. Many were introduced to Caetano Veloso through "Cucurrucucú Paloma" in Pedro Almodóvar's movie, Talk To Her, where Veloso's rendition of this Tomas Mendez's 1954 hit captured everyone's attention. He may not be the most technically perfect but Veloso, a character who has led a colourful and fascinating life, is always deep, soulful and moving.
