Jonathan Cammisa and Jonah Birns are collectively East River Drive. Both were born and raised in Center City, Philadelphia and have been designing independently in Brooklyn for a number of years. ERD was started as a fine art design collective that reflected the style and aesthetic jointly created by the artists. The resulting graphics are digitally composed collages of found images manipulated to create uncanny worlds, creatures and scenes in a stark palette. "UARM's lineup has always been impressive. We've been longtime fans of the artists they've licensed work from so were psyched when we were put on to them. Before UARM, ERD was still under the radar, we had limited numbers of hand screened shirts circling around New York City. Being up in UARM's office is basically the chillest environment ever: they have total respect for the artists they work with. Our collaboration with UARM has been awesome because they’re are not about trying to change or direct the work, they’re all about putting out what you do how you want it done."
